AI is expected to replace 85 million jobs worldwide by 2025!
We kicked off with a shocking number, didn’t we? It is so scary to feel like your entire future is at the hands of machines. You have the right t0 feel this way… But how does everybody else see it? As for the world, people seem to be swept away with the idea of machines taking over the world. It sounds cool in their heads, but would they think the same if it actually happened? And will it happen?
Some experts and high-profile businessmen doubt that there will be a “Terminator” phase and assure us that technology will always need humans’ guidance. But still we need to know how to recover from the 85 million jobs dilemma! So many lives are on the stick, especially those who occupy jobs in the healthcare, agriculture, and industrial sectors. They are expected to have no jobs by the time AI is ready. So, is there more to these statistics?
On a brighter side, experts say that losing 85 million jobs will be directly followed by 97 million new jobs in that same timeframe. These new jobs that will rise because of AI are expected to be robotics-and- software engineering – related. So, it is not that much bad news after all. But is it fair for those who can’t fill in occupations in these past two sectors?
Indeed, AI has a positive impact on our lives. It will limit the exposure of humans to danger and risky situations. But, at the same time, those who will have their jobs stolen by AI might need to figure out a way to secure a living. From what we saw, scientists are expecting this “massive change” to happen soon. The new jobs that will rise because of the AI revolution are great, but you need to make sure you have a place for yourself.
